TPPT meeting 2020

On June 1, 2020 the Technical Panel on Phytosanitary Treatments (TPPT) of the International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC) published the report of their virtual meeting of March 4, 2020. During that meeting, two irradiation treatments were discussed, one for genus Anastrepha (tephritid or fruit flies in the family Tephritidae) and the other for Sternochetus frigidus (mango pulp weevil). The TPPT approved the submission of the corresponding drafts PT 2017-031 and PT 2017-036 to the Standards Committee (SC).
